A few words about hate, i.e. anti-discrimination workshops for young people in Rzeszów.
Last week, the second social initiative of educators taking part in the «Polish-Ukrainian sisterhood» project took place. The workshops were organized for students of one of the high schools in Rzeszów and concerned the phenomenon of hate and other negative phenomena in interpersonal relationships.
This is an extremely important topic in the modern world. Hate is not just rude comments or offensive words. Hate can take many forms, including offensive comments, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, sexist, degrading or even threatening content. This is a serious social problem that may have far-reaching consequences. Regardless of our beliefs or differences, it is important that we treat each other with respect and empathy.
Educators conducting workshops in the «Polish-Ukrainian sisterhood» project increase the ability to respond to aggressive behavior, harm, and disregard for boundaries. Thanks to this, we teach project participants in a practical way how to solve crisis situations, how to build a dialogue based on democratic values and how to support the most vulnerable groups.
