Fake news divides, Christmas connects us

Send Christmas Messages to Norway, real postcards and gifts, and support our media literacy programs for young people.

In the 6th year of our traditional international campaign, this exciting project brings together shared joy of Christmas and young people’s creativity, while raising awareness against disinformation, hate speech and fake news, and support our local and international educational programs to develop media competences against these dividing factors.

The campaign donations are used to support our projects, while also covering the costs of the campaign, which we are able to keep as low as possible thanks to our partners.

Why should you join the campaign?

Reconnect against hate, disinformation, and division

Social media brings us closer than ever, but also divides us more and more. Online communication is here to stay, but we can make hate, disinformation, intolerance and division go away.

Special traditional moments, such as Christmas, have the power to bring us together in a way that no online communication platform was able to do so far. On Christmas we are more open to listen, connect, engage and show our care towards others. Thus, we reconnect through the values we share.

Share the Christmas joy for empowering our media literacy programs

People from Norway and all over the world, people like you... share Christmas messages with strangers, friends or family, and empower with care our media literacy programs for young people.

Since 2013, we involved in our media literacy education programs over 1,500 young people from Norway and more than 10 European countries. The young people developed their digital, media, information and communication skills, learned and tried out the basics of journalism and visual communication, and became aware of the dangers of fake news, disinformation and hate speech.

The values that connect us all

Fight the fake news, and let Christmas reconnect us!
