The first of three years of the educational program Safely on the Internet – the program for elementary school teachers has been completed and started, the next year will take place in the spring of 2023.

The project contributes to the educational activities of civil society. In terms of content, it mainly focuses on prevention in the area of ​​internet security (e.g. principles of advertising, misinformation on the internet, how people are tracked, etc.) and overall media education in the Czech Republic. Media and technology are areas to which the practice of Czech schools cannot adequately respond. The latest research in the Czech Republic shows that not only pupils and students have low media literacy, but also teachers. Primary school teachers are the target group of the project. The program will enable educators to acquire knowledge and skills that are currently applicable and, above all, necessary for today’s education. The development of media literacy of pedagogues will have a positive effect on the development of media literacy of pupils. The project lasts 24 months.

The educational program consists of 6 online lectures focused on the given topic.
